Strawberry Crisp

As you know I am not a big dessert person, but I do love my fruit. I have two large blueberry bushes in my backyard and one huge strawberry patch in my garden.

I moved the patch around to show strawberries, but can’t really see many. We have netting so the chickens, rabbits, birds and other creatures won’t eat them.
Fresh strawberries from my garden.

What do you do when you have too many strawberries? Make a strawberry dessert, or as I did, a strawberry crisp.

This recipe called for 5 cups of strawberries. I definitely had 5 cups and there are still plenty of strawberries in the patch for more desserts down the road.

This recipe was so easy and quick to make. Of course this picture was taken before I put it in the oven. After I took it out, it had to cool, and my husband and I went for a ride, and I forgot to take the finish picture. πŸ™„ oh well.

I found this recipe and decided to try it. I used a baking dish to make mine. Ashlyn, from Belle of the Kitchen, gives an option to use a baking dish or a deep pie dish. I think I will try the deep pie dish next time.

I started eating before the picture was taken. Sometimes I can’t wait!

This is a keeper dessert and will make again very soon. I bought vanilla ice-cream to go along with it. What could be better? Nothing!

Shrimp tacos!!

Oh….one more thing. My husband and I made shrimp tacos last night. The only thing I will say is, yummy!!! It was a great Saturday night with a great dinner and amazing dessert.

Don’t forget a glass of milk with the strawberry crisp! Coffee is another great option.

Have a great rest of your weekend. Enjoy the dessert by clicking link above.

Stay safe, stay healthy and God bless. πŸ’•
