Date Night

My husband and I try to have a date night a few times a month. The pandemic has slowed us from going out, but hasn’t slowed our time together. Every once in a while he gets a sweet tooth and wants dessert. When we finished dinner we took a ride to a place we have never been before.

He had heard of a new place in town that served pie, and he really wanted a piece of pie and coffee. We went in and they said they were closing down for the next two weeks to do a major cleaning. Tonight was the last night before they were closing, and they did not make any pies. So…the next best thing! Ice-Cream!

Okay, so I didn’t take the picture right away because I didn’t think about it until it was almost gone. Even though I’m not a dessert lover, I did get my favorite flavor and it was so good. Everything is homemade except for the fancy waffle cones which are from New York. We will be going back when they re-open.

Anyways, just a quick hello to everyone. I have been so busy with my classes and one of them has been stressing me out. I try not to get stressed so I have been praying a lot to God to give me strength, knowledge and wisdom to get me through this. He knows that I will give Him all the glory if I pass. Believe me, I am not doing this on my own. I trust in the Lord.

“Trust in the Lord will all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” (Proverbs 3:5-6)
