Where Do You Fit In?

I have changed because of God’s grace, love and enormous blessings. I have a church family that is supportive and strong in their faith. I have a husband who is supportive and strong in his faith. We fit in our church. We fit in as a couple in the family of God. Together we fit.

Attending church and being part of a church family is how we relate to God, but it is also how we relate to one another in the family of God. We listen to the message from the pastor. We hope to take that message with us when we leave and use it throughout the week. But when you leave church on Sunday, where do you go from there? Where do you fit in? Are you relating to each other?

Being part of a church family is that, a family. Our brothers and sisters in Christ are part of a family. We share our hearts, struggles and keep one another accountable. We connect, we fit.

My husband and I are part of a wonderful small group within our church. We meet once a week and study on the Word of God. Our group is more than just a group that gets together and studies. We talk about our lives, our experiences and how we grow in Christ. We may not always agree on every little thing, but that’s okay because we are doing it with love and respect. We are there for each other, we are concerned for one another and we are connected to the church.

The point I am trying to make is, we cannot always do things on our own, and we shouldn’t. We need one another.

“Just as a body, though one, has many parts, but all its many parts form one body, so it is with Christ. For we were all baptized by one Spirit so as to form one body-whether Jews or Gentiles, slave or free-and we were all given the one Spirit to drink.” (1 Corinthians 12:12-13)

I am not saying that your own family is not important because it is. But if your not part of a church family, there is a difference in how you relate to your family and the family of God. This has to do with how you prioritize your life and where God fits.

How you relate to others extends out into the community of God’s family. We are a community of believers and followers of Jesus.

Where do you fit in? Where are you spiritually? Don’t do it alone. Be part of the church, a community of believers, a family of brothers and sisters in Christ. Unite yourself into the family of God.

Stay safe, stay healthy and God Bless 💕
