The change of seasons are beautiful. Spring flowers (drives my allergies crazy), summer warmth, beauty of autumn trees, and pure snow of winter. I have to admit that I enjoy the warmer weather. A light breeze, a cold drink and the warm sun relaxes me.

I enjoy the outdoors during the warm weather. I bike ride, run and work in the yard. I tend to stay indoors when cold weather arrives. The snow is beautiful when it falls, but I don’t go out in it much. I change my routine around according to the weather and the season.
“There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens” (Ecclesiastes 3:1-22)
The change of seasons can be compared to the seasons we go through in life. We never know what each season will bring and we do not know what next year will bring. We did not expect to have a pandemic, but we did. Changes can teach us something and we can learn from them.
Seasons will come and go and change will happen. There will be joyous times and heartbreaking times and through it all the seasons do not stop. Life does not stop. Our seasons may not change as fast as the four seasons of the weather, but we must be ready for the change God has planned for us.
And though there is change, we know of One who never will.
“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever” (Hebrews 13:8)
We can be ready for the change that God has planned for us by knowing Him and loving Him. For me, the love part must come first for everything else to come into play. We can grow with God by aligning ourselves with Him by being obedient, walking by the Spirit and living in the Spirit. Growing IN, having faith, repenting, turning to Him, and turning away from our old self. Are you ready for the change?
We cannot always trust the change in the seasons, but we can always trust in God because He never changes.
If your going through a change, I pray you have faith in God. This season may be a joyous one or a heartbreaking one, so trust in God, not only in your change of season but in every season.
Stay safe, stay healthy and God Bless

Amen! As Hebrews 13:8 reminds us: Christ will never change! My favorite season is upon me: autumn. As the fall foliage and cooler temperatures arrive, I find myself reflecting on my own faith journey. As nature transitions, I have matured over the years. Thank goodness Christ has never abandoned me, despite my misplaced thoughts, words, and deeds.

Christ will never abandon you! We sin everyday, but thank goodness the Holy Spirit convicts us.
