Romans 15:13

“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.“

I have this Scripture framed on my wall. There are so many Scriptures that are beautiful but this one means so much. It has the words hope, joy, peace, trust, Holy Spirit and God. Is there a way we can have all of this? Yes, the heart of the gospel is the message in the work of Christ and how that message is the power of God.

It starts with God who is our only one creator. Our only God who will save us. God is all knowing and all powerful. The Holy Spirit is the work that only God can do. Jesus was lead by the Holy Spirit and He said the Spirit will be in the life of a believer. The continued ministry of the Holy Spirit will be filling the life of the believer.

“But very truly I tell you, it is for your good that I am going away. Unless I go away, the Advocate will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you.” (John 16:7)

God is hope. We receive peace and joy in knowing that God is all hope. Peace and joy are words that seem hard to understand in today’s world. We hope for a lot of things in our life, and most of those things we hope other people do for us and they don’t. God promises hope and we have much to look forward to. Our hope in God is strengthened by the work of the Holy Spirit and the promise of salvation brings us peace.

We can trust in God because the Bible is truth. The Bible helps guide us through life. I always say, if your unsure about something, read the Bible. Our decisions should be based upon the Bible. We cannot live our life without the guidance of the Holy Spirit. We must trust in God to live the life worthy of Him. To call on God is expressing trust in Him.

Do you want to “overflow with hope”? Come to Jesus, put all your hope in Him. God seeks us and wants a relationship with us. Be transformed by the good news of Jesus Christ and take the gospel to others so they can be transformed by knowing Jesus.

Stay safe, stay healthy and God Bless
