We all have a story to tell, whether good or bad. It may have been a bad situation that was not intended, but it happened. It could have been something you knew what you were doing and did it anyway. Maybe it was a joyous event and it was the best thing you went through. It can also be a story that you shared with others or kept to yourself. Either way, it is your testimony of how you repented, removed your old self, were born again and found God.
Testimony. That word reminds me of being in court. No, I have never been in court, but I know of those who have. The reason I say this is because we are judged by what we do and what we say. Within the law, the judge presides and the case is usually heard and tried before a jury. In the case of a testimony and sharing your story, your life is transformed by confessing and repenting. This may be a reason why you haven’t shared your story because of what others may say or think. You should not be concerned about the judge and jury of society, but more concerned of what God thinks and know that fearing God is the beginning of wisdom.

“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.” (Proverbs 9:10)
Your testimony is worth sharing to others and letting others know how you found God. This is the time to offer others hope when they hear your story. It also brings people together in time of trouble, hardship and sadness. Bringing others to Christ is the reason we tell our story, because our story is not about us at all. It is about trusting in God and believing in the gospel and having Him forgive our sins. It is about the Cross!
This is not to be taken lightly. This is finding yourself closer to God and being obedient to Him. It is not waking up one day, saying sorry to God and continue to live a disobedient lifestyle. You must turn your life around and come out from the darkness and into the light. Know that Jesus died for your sins and know it is about Jesus.
My testimony is how God brought my husband and I back together. And I tell everyone that it is about God and what HE did, not what we did. We give God all the glory. The Lord has changed us, inspired us and the Holy Spirit guides us and we share that with others. With God, all things are possible.
Tell your story, bring others to Christ and know it is about Jesus and the good news. The Gospel.
Stay safe, stay healthy and God Bless
Our story & the Word are all we need to draw others to Him.

You are so right! I wrote on my blog about putting my suffering on display instead of suffering in silence because sometimes we don’t go through things for us but for other people.

So true. And as Paul states in Romans’. We rejoice in our sufferings because we know we will be with our Lord.
