Do Not Look Back

We have all said or done things we didn’t mean, regret or wished we never did. Those times may have been when we were younger or just a few years back. It is in those time we learn from what we did and we grew stronger, or we never learned and continue struggling through this life.

Yes, we have all made little or big mistakes, but it is what you do about those mistakes. Do you regret and get upset about the things you had done? Are you disappointed in yourself or feel discouraged in some ways? If you said yes, then do not feel that way!

Don’t look back! We cannot change what we did in the past but we can learn from what we did. God does not want us to look back and continue to think about what happened years ago. God does want us to trust in Him and be faithful to Him. God is in control, not us. There will be hard times in life but we must not turn from God and do as we please.

We must turn to God in those times and ask for forgiveness. But when we ask for forgiveness, we must follow God. “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith-and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God.” (Ephesians 2:8) Jesus says “Follow me”, but do you follow? Do you, in times of trouble call out to Him only in those times?

Do not call out to God only in those times, but call out to Him everyday. We need God everyday. Look, we cannot change the past, but we can look forward to knowing we have eternal life if we follow God.

If you haven’t already, I ask that you give yourself over to God. Let Him be your Lord and Savior and know that you can be changed. Changed by submitting yourself to Him and know you have hope in God because of what Jesus did.
