Strength

Like if tough, it’s not meant to be easy. We wake not knowing what life will bring. We may start off happy and end up sad. Or, we can start off sad and end up happy. A simple conversation with someone may change us. But do you have the strength to finish?

God gives us the strength we need. “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble” (Psalms 46: 1) God walks with us daily, He never leaves us. But in times of trouble, do you call on Him? Our relationship with Him is knowing He is there for us, but you need that relationship to know Him.

We cannot do anything by ourselves, we need God. When I lost my strength due to my marriage, I was helpless. I was in despair and in the darkness, but I knew where I needed to be. I searched for churches in my area and narrowed it down to one. God was with me the entire time and guided me to Him. I decided to attend one Sunday and knew this was the church. My husband and I then attended together and found God. I was hesitant to be “born again” because of the state I was in. Almost a year later we both were born again and changed us forever.

We do not have the “strength” to live life on our own. We can turn to our Creator and know that He is with us. Jesus knew pain and suffering. He even wept over Lazarus. Our sorrows are for the glory of God. Knowing that we can give Him everything we have and lay everything over to Him is a feeling of relief. Do not worry about what you can and cannot do because God gives you the strength you need to continue.

Live for Jesus. Believe me, I did not know Him and now I do. I can tell you that everyday I am grateful for what I have and for what He has given me. There are days when I feel tired or discouraged, but I know that I can focus on God and He is with me through it all.

I hope you can find the strength to find God if you haven’t already. What an amazing life to live knowing He is there for us. Life is not a bowl of cherries or a box of chocolates, but knowing that we have eternal life knowing God and being faithful to Him is more than cherries and chocolates together.
